Well, the rest of April was pretty busy also. Sarah celebrated turning 12, there were school plays, Derek got braces, and just a little of this and that.
As far as funny stories, John has within this past week started pulling himself up to a standing position mainly at the toy box. However, once he gets there, he isn't sure what to do so he starts crying. Then he usually falls if someone doesn't pick him up immediately.
Rachel has once again become fascinated with my make up (see picture below). Her and John still get along pretty well but he is still pretty mellow. She tries to decide for him which toys he will play with especially if she is interested in something he has. She also imitates him alot if we are paying too much attention to him. So if he is laying on the ground kicking and we say oh John you are so cute, then she does it. I am sure once he starts walking and getting a little bit bigger, it will be very interesting what happens between the 2 of them!
I am sure I have funnies to tell, but just can't think of them, so here are some pictures!

Derek on class field trip helping plant trees at Air National Guard.

Sarah with the pitiful cake I made her. I definitely did not get Aunt Terry's cake making skills.
It may not have looked good but it tasted good!

Sarah blowing out candles at Grandma Evelyns.

Sarah opening presents from mom and dad.

Presents at our house.

Derek and his new grill!

John crying after pulling himself to standing position.

So we were eating dinner, and Rachel was done and down playing. Then after a few minutes, I happen to look at her and see something all over her lips so I ask her what is on her face. She says ever so calmly, "lipstick". So then I am like where did you get lipstick. I had left it on John's highchair tray while eating and she had somehow picked it up, put it on and put it back there without any of us even noticing. I guess I need to put this picture with the one a month or so ago after she put Grandma's mascara on. (see prior blogs).

Rachel feeding John his cereal. It actually went much smoother than I thought it would.

I was afraid she would choke him but I think she only rammed the spoon too far once.

Going for walk while Rachel wears birthday hat from a party at daycare.

John swinging in the old swing. At first he didnt' know what to think but now he seems to like it.

Rachel being silly in her new pink swing.

Derek in the school play.

Sarah in the school play! Both kids were in speech and drama this semester so got to perform in the play.
